Privacy policy
Last updated October 27, 2026. Applies to findapp.tech and the Find apps for Android and iPhone.
Find is built to know as little about you as possible. Most of what you do stays on your device. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version
- You can use Find with just a username. No email, phone number or ID is required.
- Find’s wallet is non-custodial. Your keys are created and kept on your device. Find can’t see them, move your money or reverse a transaction.
- Messages, notes and media are stored on your device. Cloud backup is optional and encrypted on your device before it is uploaded, so we can’t read it.
- We don’t sell your data, we don’t share it for advertising, and we don’t run ad trackers or analytics tools.
What we collect
Account. Your username and a hashed proof that this device owns it. If you add a recovery email, we keep that email so you can sign in and recover your account.
Signed-in devices. If you sign in with email, we keep a list of your signed-in devices: a device label (for example “Safari on iPhone”), a rough location (city or region, from the network), and when it was first and last seen. We don’t store your IP address in that list.
Public profile. Anything you choose to publish (name, photo, bio, posts) is public, like on any social app.
Encrypted backup (optional). If you turn it on, we store only encrypted data that your device locked with a key we don’t have. If you opt in to Find-held recovery, we keep one encrypted half of a recovery key and the contact details you choose for it.
Rewards. If you claim FIND rewards, we keep a record of what was earned and paid, and the public wallet address it was paid to, to prevent abuse.
Bug reports and safety reports. Only when you send one. Bug reports may include the page, device type and a screenshot; passwords, keys and recovery phrases are removed before anything is sent.
Push notifications. If you allow them, we store the notification address your device gives us so we can deliver alerts.
What we don’t collect
Your private keys or recovery phrases, the content of your messages, your contacts list, precise location (map and compass features run on your device), advertising IDs, or browsing history outside Find.
Wallet and blockchain
Find doesn’t hold funds. When you send or receive crypto, the transaction is recorded on a public blockchain where anyone can see it. That record is permanent and isn’t controlled by Find. Prices and balances are read from public network data.
If you lose your device and have no backup or recovery key, Find can’t recover your wallet for you.
How we use data
Only to run Find: sign you in, keep your account secure, deliver messages and notifications you asked for, pay rewards, fix bugs and respond to safety reports. We don’t build advertising profiles.
Links and connected services
Some features open other services (for example a wallet app you connect, or a website you visit from Find). Their own privacy policies apply there.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Deleted backups are kept for 7 days so you can undo, then erased. Signed-in device entries are erased when your account is deleted. Reward and payout records are kept as long as needed to prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: Settings > Privacy & security > Your data.
- Sign out other devices: Settings > Privacy & security > Devices.
- Erase data on this device: Settings > Emergency.
- Delete your account: findapp.tech/delete-account (also in Settings > Privacy & security).
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data and to object to processing. Email us and we’ll help. We don’t sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
Age
Find is for adults. The apps are rated 17+ and the site isn’t meant for anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
Keys and secrets are encrypted on your device, sensitive screens hide their content until you ask, and backups are end-to-end encrypted. No system is perfect; if you find a problem, please tell us.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above, and for important changes we’ll tell you in the app.
